Strengthening Staff Capacity Through Specialized Training in Child Support and Behavioural Care

Behind every milestone is a behaviour technician who believed it was possible

In the year 2025, The Behaviour Hub held a couple of comprehensive capacity-building sessions aimed at equipping its Behaviour Technicians with the essential skills needed to better support children with developmental needs. The trainings form part of our continuous professional development and commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based behavioural support services in Ghana. During the session, staff members engaged in practical learning activities focused on understanding child behaviour, applying behaviour support strategies, and creating safe and supportive environments for clients. The trainings emphasized empathy, effective communication, observational skills, and professional consistency, all of which form the foundation of impactful therapy.

Real-Life Scenarios

The training sessions also highlighted real-life scenarios that Behaviour Technicians encounter in their day-to-day work, offering them tools to respond with confidence, compassion, and competence. By strengthening these skills, The Behaviour Hub ensures that every child who walks through our doors receives the best possible support to thrive and reach their potential. Capacity building remains central to our mission, and we are proud to be contributing to the growth of autism and behaviour-support services in Ghana. Our team continues to learn, develop, and advocate for high-quality care for all children with special needs.

Continuous Professional Development

At The Behaviour Hub, we are committed to fostering an environment that supports growth, excellence, and ongoing professional development. In line with this commitment, we are excited to announce that our Lead Behaviour Technician has been sponsored to begin the IBA coursework with Find Your Balance

With the IBAO’s decision to open certification opportunities to professionals across the African continent, The Behaviour Hub is better positioned to invest in the training and development of our team. This decision not only strengthens the quality of our services but also advances our long-term vision of building local capacity in behaviour analysis. We look forward to sponsoring more team members toward certification, enabling us to expand our services and reach underserved communities across the country. Together, we are shaping a stronger foundation for inclusive and impactful behaviour support.
